Architects, MGT, were commissioned by Canberra Investment Corporation (CIC) to design a twenty storey residential tower complex, with one, two and three bedroom apartments and eight penthouses. The development also includes a private podium-level garden for residents, street-level commercial space and underground car parking. Construction was undertaken by Multiplex. Construction commenced in June 2004 and was completed in late 2005.
Grey Advertising were in charge of the marketing campaign for Sky Plaza.
Screenmakers produced a number of signs for this project.
Since the Display Centre was positioned in a prominent location, it was decided that the best way to attract attention would be to clad the Display Centre with marketing information to produce a large, multi-sided billboard.
The signage was made from aluminium panels with adhesive vinyl cut graphics fixed to the walls of the Display Centre.The panels were then coated with a clear finish to provide protection from graffiti.
Other signs included a number of billboards, as well as a large banner produced to sit with the hoarding around the development, enhancing the advertising and marketing of the project.
