Deane's Coaster Bus

The image appears opaque over the windows but passengers can see out

Deane's Buslines is the largest provider of passenger and school buses in Southern New South Wales. It operates a combined fleet of 120 modern city, school and charter buses and coaches, out of four state-of-the-art bus depots.

As well as direct school bus services to over 60 schools in the Queanbeyan and Canberra area, Deane’s provides extensive services in Queanbeyan and inter-town services between Queanbeyan and Canberra City (Civic) and Woden, as well as in the Sapphire Coast region including Bega, Tura Beach, Merimbula, Pambula, Pambula Beach and Eden.

The Coaster Bus looks striking on the road. It was wrapped with a design commissioned by Queanbeyan City Council and the Department of Aboriginal Affairs. Rob Little Digital Images supplied the art files and Screenmakers directly applied the image to the bus.

The graphics were digitally printed with solvent-based inks on adhesive vinyl, which was then laminated. Special comply vinyl conforms to the shape of the bus.

The windows were covered in one-way vision vinyl, which is black on the inside and dotted with tiny perforated holes. This allows people inside to see out, while from the outside the image appears whole and opaque.
